Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) provides three-dimensional imaging of the teeth and jawbones.
When is it used?
- Assessing bone volume and anatomical structures when planning implants
- Assessing impacted teeth and wisdom teeth
- Examining complex root structures in root canal treatment
- Assessing cysts and similar lesions
Tomography is taken when the dentist considers it necessary in cases where a two-dimensional X-ray is not sufficient. If there is any possibility that you are pregnant, please tell your dentist before the scan.
