Common situations
- Toothache and infection
- Broken or cracked teeth, lost fillings or crowns
- Teeth knocked out or broken in an accident
- Swelling of the gums or face
For a tooth that has been completely knocked out: Pick the tooth up by the crown, without touching the root; if it is dirty, rinse it briefly with milk or saline solution and see a dentist without delay.
In situations such as a high temperature or swelling that makes breathing or swallowing difficult, go to the emergency department of the nearest hospital (112).
